Spreading the word about Wikipedia's AI problem is always helpful, especially since it has died down in the media.
Better yet, though, you can directly help yourself. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, which means anyone can fix it. Here's how:
Beginning editors
Wikipedia editors have compiled a guide to what AI writng on Wikipedia looks like. (Note: This page is only meant to apply to Wikipedia; it was never intended to be used for general writing.) If you go looking for basically anything on this list, you will find hundreds of instances in plain sight. Seriously just throw it into the search bar. You don't need an account for this.
For more coordinated cleanup work, the AI Cleanup WikiProject consists of several editors working to root out AI content on Wikipedia, and has several guides on how to do it. You don't need an account for this either.
More experienced editors
Editors who have been around for more than 90 days and have a substantial track record of constructive edits, good communication, and familiarity with the site can request to join the New Page Patrollers. These are some of the unsung heroes of Wikipedia; for every case of AI writing you see on Wikipedia, there are hundreds they caught before publication. However, they are very swamped.
